Hi,I'm new at this and I'm looking of a tablet PC. I try to buy for DX the DealExtreme: $146.70 7" Touch Screen TFT LCD Google Android Tablet PC w/ WiFi + Camera - Black (600MHz) but is sold out and today I see there is a new one (with very similar price).DealExtreme: $147.50 7" Touch Screen TFT LCD Google Android 1.5 Tablet PC w/ WiFi/Camera (ARM926EH-S rev5)But I see this one has a ARM926EH-S rev5(v5l) processor, I wanted to know if some one can tell me if it is a good processor, and if it is better that the other one. Also I see this comes with Andrioid 1.5 and if there is any update firmware that can be use here and which is the most recommended. Thanks

The E in the processor model number means it has an integrated DSP, so most likely it's going to be on par with the aPad/iRobot in terms of speed and what kind of multimedia it can handle. It should have similar performance to the aPad/iRobot as well...no way to tell the exact clock though unfortunately. I just know it's going to be less than 470mhz.I also highly doubt that there are going to be any decent firmware updates on this device right now, but somewhere in the future if enough of these make it to the English speaking parts of the world you'll be able to find better firmware updates for it.

bmurphr1 thanks a lot for the awesome answer. It really help a lot. What about using an firmware update for a device with similar specs? like the one for aPad? I know it has "wrong" and "disaster" written all over it but just wanted to ask
