I keep getting all kinds of errors, for the past few days. sometimes the site will only log me in anonymously, even though I have not selected it. Sometimes - often - I can't post in the forums, I get an error that says I don't have permission to do that. And I can only respond to conversations I am already engaged in, I can't start a new one. I can't start a new topic- I get the error that says I don't have permission to do that.

Thanks for reporting your trouble. We have support currently working to resolve these issues.

I am experiencing the same thing as well as "hanging pages" when replying.

Current (temporary) workaround -

After submitting your reply, just navigate back to the forum(s). The replies are showing up.

I just thought Slatedroid had been quiet but it looks like I haven't received any notifications for about a week (last one was April 28th). I checked my notification settings and they are correct. I also tried unsubscribing and resubscribing to some threads just in case, but I'm still not getting notifications when I visit the site in a web browser or through tapatalk. I've also had a few issues where if I hit the "Reply to this Topic" button at the top right of a thread I'm notified I don't have permissions but if I reply at the bottom of a thread it works.

Well at least it wasn't just me They might be working now? I got the notifications that you quoted my post. I will just have to wait and see if my other threads "wake up" from their slumber.

You are definitely not alone, the whole site is messed up. :sigh:

Quoting was the workaround with the previous IP Board when my notifications did not work.

This is not a guaranteed workaround, because my permissions had been messed up as well.

Everyone's are right now. =(

UPDATE: We are aware everything is not currently fine with member permissions.

fuser-invent was able to send me a pm to confirm this.

Currently many features are working again.

There are still some issues with the forums system settings that are being addressed by IPS and our support team.

Please check your user control panel / settings / Notification Options
I have noticed several of mine had to be reset with the latest adjustments.

Chat displays incorrectly now ...

...along with several other issues noted and reported in the moderator's forum.

UPDATE:

Support has either put us on the back burner or cannot figure out the problem. Haven't read anything in the mod forum for a week now.

Moderator member group cannot see the forums while signed in.

PM system broken for some members. If your message limit is incorrect, don't delete any you want saved to make space. You won't be able to create any new ones anyway. The existing pms should still work. I have received a couple replies to confirm this.
