Sorry for me being vey noob.I would like to ask, can someone tell me which is the difference between the original EKEN ROM and custom ones? I mean, even if with longer passages, can I get the same results of root/working market etc. on EKEN ROM??If it was so I would like to use original ones!P.s. I'm not getting any chance to control my EKEN from my PC with ADB, it doesn't work from win 7, and neither MAC OS. I don't know hot to get root, then i can t use SWAP and market

Hi, Eken just release an updated original RoM 1.9.1 which would be a good start for you. Typically, the custom ROMS here are modded to make your tablet work faster and efficient. The best thing to do is download all of them and test each one based on your preference. Market does not work natively but you can work around that. The new Eken 1.9.1 Rom plays youtube very nice as the other ROMS here play in low res which is a big difference in viewing experience.

Just downloaded the 1.9.1 updated, and installed. The tablet does seem more responsive. Yotube Is excellent, definitely better quality than the low-res.Tried to install the following apps and had issues.1. SPB TV FULL VERSION - Installed, but would not connect to any Tv station2. Pandora - Installed, but got error taht there was no Wifi Connection3. Last Fm - Installed , but also got error that there was no Wifi Connectionand at all times i had at least 2 bars.Has anyone else had this issue? can anyone install these apps and verify?Or maybe its just my m003Thanks

Get the following error while running this app.LAST FM - Installs fine - then go to play radio stationand get this message." This feature reuquires a connection to the internet.Please connect to the internet and try again.However, i was already connected to the internet, asyou can see from the screen shot, and had 2 bars.Can anyone install this app, and verify if same error occurs.Thanks

If it is directly from Eken it is not rooted, I would wait until someone releases a custom rom of 1.9.1

I did a Speed Test with the M003 and M002 side by side on my Youtube/iph0ne27 channel with the new Eken 1.9.1 firmware on both devices. The results are incredible!

can you post some videos? or timed results? give us something we can compare, or imagine. No pandora, seems like a few apps no longer work. I like YouTube, but I can live without it. Run benchmark by softweg and post results. Or running a few browser benchmarking websites. bit.ly/brmark or sunspider javascript, jsbenchmark... just a few. Hit us with some numbers. I'm making the jump to 1.9.1, just want to make sure ROOT will happen. Lets see which ROOTED custom rom comes out first. LET THE ROOT RACE BEGIN! RALLY ROM ROOTING ROAD RUFFIENS!!!

Download and try again!For the uploader: It would be fine if you guy's would upload only working Apps/FW's which you tested on your own machine and also post the MD5 or CRC or other checksum for to be sure the downloads are ok!

I'm running ECOTOX 1.3.1 and after the last update to last.fm it does it constantly on mine (works on my Hero though). I thought it was because I was putting the Eken in Flight safe mode to save battery when not online, but seems to be more wide spread.

oh wow! plugged in Belkin mini bluetooth dongle, switched on bluetooth and made the M003 discoverable, connected to some bluetooth headphones, and stremed stereo sound whilst trying the (now working with MP4) video app. -RESULT!
