hi i need help guys. i tried to flash the new rom 1.9_88 to my mid epad have been following the instruction in wiki. even extracted nit using the 7zip which was recommended. when i start up my mid epad with the script. the logo of android just freezes. anybody has a solution for that. do i have to create some kind of a root folder in my sd card?

definitely No...you just need SCRIPT folder (from zip file) under root of SD card

hi thanks for the reply. i did copy the whole script in the sd card i even format it without using quick format. im sorry im not a computer genius like u guys

1. Format SD card2. Open ROM file by 7-zip3. Choose folder script in archive4. Extract it in SD card. (for example to E: - this mean root for card or hard drive)5. Put card in to PADWhat model do you have? RAM? And which rom do you use right now? what do u mean copy under root of sd card?

Don't put it in a folder, just copy the 'script' file straight onto the card. If your card is 'E' then the address for the script should be 'E:script ' when you look at the card.

This is the same pad i got and i have been trying to flash it to make it more stable as V1.7.4 cannot run and nesnoid roms and is slow.

it did run on 1.7.4 version but got hang using 1.9 -88 rom it just goy stuck on the android screen.

You cant flash with this ROM for sure couse standart 1.9.88 for 256M devices. I modify scriptcmd for myself but it have on side effect - some glitch on boot picture, but work well/ I know how to fix just dont want reflash right now Replace original scriptcmd in /script/ folder on your SD-card with this one (unpack it!).

my friend thanks for the info. how about rom 1.8 will it work on our epad with 128mb? and the one you modified does it have the original features and application? is the market working? and when you install application does it works?

the pad runs the android 1.7.4 and it ran straight out the box just that it seemed to lack computing power and battery life is bad that is why i want to update the firmware.I have done the exact same thing as the fella with the same problem i even source a few other script files and it still hangs there. I Have tracked down the manufacture in the land of china but this company has no web site so no help from them .I think maybe the script needs to be modified so it can run not very good in programing department tho lol

Check my sign - ALL functions and applications from 1.9.88 working on my 128M EPAD. 3D games not working, some applications sooo slow - but all couse CPU is weak.Sure 1.8 also can work on 128 EPAD, just need new scriptcmd.

Looks like you must try flash 1.7.1 before and when try 1.9.88Take it here Eken M001 (original ) - Downloads - SlateDroid - The BIGGEST Android Tablet Forum on the Web!(Try it and even it stop on flashing when try 1.9.88)

i have tried the script you gave me. Still no changes. The android logo still freezes. I tried rom 1.8 got same problem. Have you tried the flytouch custom rom!

all sorted now thanks everyone.Here is how it went 1)used the "Eken M001 (original ) - Downloads - SlateDroid - The BIGGEST Android Tablet Forum on the Web update" went ok and did not freeze but after wards the touch screen did not work but that's OK because we don't want to use that firmware.2)attempted to install android 1.988 but that froze so i used the custom Script file scriptcmd1.9.88.EPAD.128M.zip just on this page and copied and replaced the script file in the script folder on root of SD card Put in Sd card updated fine Job all done i must say the custom script file causes the android dude at the start to go fuzzy but besides all is fine and working better than the 1.7.4 i had on there and battery life has increase as well so all good then Thanks again for everyones help
