Hi there Wasn't sure where to post this, but my friend was really sold by the M001 but has seen this unit on ebay..Everything i've read suggests it's not as heavily supported at the m001 and a lot of clones floating around..I'd appreciate any advicehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120589735133&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:ITFirstly what is it? and is it any good?

Wow... Just wow...That ebay seller is using several images from several different pads.I also believe that there is no Andriod 1.7. I could be wrong about that, but I recall reading that somewhere in the past few weeks.Judging by the info, I'd have to guess it's one of the VIA 300mhz models. So it's an Eken clone, more so than an apad clone. He does show an apad in there, but most of the pics are of the Eken.Personally I'd pass.

Hi looks similar to this one the ePad 7" Touch MID Notebook it has a VIA VT8505 ARM926 processor and a 2400 mAh Battery its one step up from the Eken M001. The price is on par with the market but you may be better off to save a few more pennies and get a Epad with the Rockchip processor or a Samsung 32bit ARM926EJ-S processor cheers

Yup, that's a VIA allright. The iPad/iPhone-like connector with the 2xUSB/RJ45 adapter is a dead giveaway. Basically the same stuff as the EKEN M001 but in a different housing.

Here's the same produce from Deal Extreme, only cheaper. Sure you'd have to wait longer with DX, but it's cheaper. Again, I'd skip it. The Rockchip based one seems to work quite quickly (at least mine works fast), and as stated by Clintzodiac, save a bit more and get a legit apad from someone.

i got a device that looks like the last three pics of this auction, although the specs and pics in mine where from the apad. so i'm going to send it back. but i am really curious how this one is called!? some people call it epad, but i didn't find more information about it (exspecially custom roms and so on). maybe i just get half of my money back and keep it... ;-)

Well i gave him the advice and he went and bought one, not sure if he got this one. But i know he spent around ?100. I was trying to convince him to save some cash and just get an M001 like mine. But oh well
