Hi everyone,I do have a Nandbackup of the Smartbook Surfer, which is actually the same device like the GT BUT it has HDMI OUT.Please see the link below for specifications:Produkt DetailsI did tear it apart and did compare it with the GT pictures. The Hardware seems to be the same except that the Smartbook Surfer does have HDMI.If someone wants to test the firmware, here is the link:RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting (MD5: 94DECB098740B07EAF0D005ACF306304)Maybe someone can solder an HDMI port to the device and test the output.jlove

Great.. Hopefully we can find some other good things about this build..CPG
Just tried a few things quickly. Doing it as a full restore doesnt work in clockwork. It errors out at boot.img.Tried just restoring the system.img under advance menu... Wont boot after that.Tried dropping the system.img into the Augen /os Calibration update sequence.. Still wont boot...Lets see how others have luck with it.CPG
720Mhz 1080p, GPS ,microphone and camera are all upgradesalso price ~$315.00
Alittle off topic guys.. the point here is the Clockwork nandroid backup here that we can try to put on the Gentouch78. Anyone else tried working with this?CPG
Just checking if anyone has worked with this again*?CPG
These images won't work as-is. Different touchscreen/lcd drivers perhaps. Different MTD layout etc. Same thing with the HSG tablet firmware.

LCD hw control IS part of the TCC89XX SoC so that WILL use the same driver. Touchscreen, flash memory, and WiFi chipset are most likely what will be different. e.g. the GT uses an Atheros WiFi chip...
I've tried different firmwares on the HSG pad, and several do not init the screen properly, and end up with all white. For example the 'Haina #320' firmware has this problem on HSG. You can replace the kernel with #297 and it will work properly. Touches were recognized in the logcat though :)Everyone does use the Atheros 6K so far in the TCC tablets out there ;)
Designed in Germany I wonder what the Dawa D7 Group in China design it also. GT and SS use the same Athereos R6000 series 150MHz WNPU chipset 1T/2R 1 transmit 2 receive. I am sure the Dawa D7 is the same also Dawa D7 is $200 USD unless the price gone backup?
