In another thread I asked anyone who found more info to report it -- and I
found something myself this evening worth posting -- the "Manuals" for the
Thrive.

There are three versions -- 8 GB storage, 16 GB storage and 32 GB storage,
and there are separate manuals for each.

Go to www.toshibadirect.com and go to "Support" and find "Download" and
then look for Tablets/Thrive/AT105-T1032 (which is the 32 GB version I
have on order) and click "Go." That will take you to another page which
will have a "User's Guide" tab and that will take you to the PDF version
of the manual, which you can save if you like or print or whatever.

I haven't read it in full yet, but will take case of that chore shortly.

Followup on Manual Post:

I printed out the manual and read it last night:

1. Wow! What a great manual. 131 Pages. Well organized with even
a Glossary of terms. Not in pidgin English -- clear and concise.
Plenty of screen shots although they printed a little dark in black
and white.

2. Found lots of features about the tab. For example, there is a
Toshiba file manager and it does all the usual stuff but specifically
works at integrating SD and USB into files system (I've been griping
about Android's file system ever since I got my G-Tablets!)

3. Learned how to change to option backplate, change the battery if
you have a spare, Toshiba software to manager pics and videos from the
two cameras, Toshiba software to up regular video to higher definition
to improve video, yada, yada, yada!!!

Anyhow, you can read it yourself as above so I will shut up.

P. S. -- I'm not really a fanboy of the Thrive (though I have one
pre-ordered). I have just gotten so tired of poor Android, vaportablets
that won't be out until eternity and stuff that doesn't work. It's
refreshing that it appears to me Toshiba is making a real effort to
present a good product and is doing it well. bc

Again, a followup on my followup -- more great material is appearing!!!

If you go to the location where the manual is listed for download, now
there is other materials under the "Downloads" tab.

There are about 14 files (one link didn't work) providihng PDF D/Ls
on most of the accessories projected so far. One instruction sheet
for most and one spec sheet for most.

Lots of good info.

Any thoughts why there are 3 manuals based on amount of storage? Will there be more options with higher price? I have been following Notion Ink's adam for some time. The Thrive seems very similar except for the eden software. Of course the adam has option of pixel qi screen, hopefully Thrive's screen will live up to the adv stating can use even in brightest part of patio.

I don't know of any reason it would be like that except that Toshiba is offering 8, 16 and 32 GB models
and I assume there is a manual for each. So far as I can see all three downloads are the same content-wise.

The 8 GB version is like $429, the 16 GB about $479 and the 32 GB version $579 as I remember.

Everyone,

I got an e-mail from Toshiba support and it appears they are adding more
info to the "Download" section of their support site.

It lists additional Thrive models (seem to be Spanish but don't know if
there are hardware changes).

And there are more informational docs.

Check it out!!!
