Is it possible to add more data? For example, you could note which OS versions an app works with. You could also track which apps work full screen on a high resolution tablet like the Entourage Edge.
I agree with you here, the downloads need more detail - a description would be well suited. OS versions is irrelevant as they all run on at least Android 1.5 which is what the majority of devices here run on. As far as we know they work with all custom firmwares too.
Some developers are releasing apps that only work on later versions of Android. Adobe, for example, just released Flash for Android (but it only runs on v2.2). Also, Adobe Reader requires (I think) v2.1.
We're working on getting a Wiki up with all of the compatibility charts of apps and devices. That will allow us to add some proper descriptions to the files. Thanks for the suggestion.
