I just received my apad form merimobiles. I inserted the powerplug into the device and the LED stayed red. I tried to press the button with the squire on it for 5 seconds, several times, but the apad didn't boot. So I left the apad for about an hour plugged into the outlet. When I tried after an hour to press the button with the squire the apad LED turns black and only blinked when plugged in and pressed the button with the squire, or when you plugin the device._________________________for your information:Merimobiles sent me an brand new device directly after I confirmed that I sent the device back. They also paid the cost for shipping the apad back to China.So thumbs up for Merimobiles and there service
(btw: they only sell the metal one now, I've an plastic grey one)

I did they told me it was normal and I should first charge the device for 5 hours and try again to boot the device.I'll see.Update: still not working, sent an email to the helpdesk.

so far same situation...Power LED isn't red when charger plugged in, it only blinks once if you plug in the charger or press the button with the squire.(by the way, it's an apad with a white body.)this one but with an squire on the round button (apple like)

I've heard of this issue before if the light blinks when you insert your charger, you've either been too rough inserting the charger, or there's a weekness in the power connect to the circuit board inside. If the led stays on try connecting it to your PC. Bottom USB hold down the menu button and see if windows detects it. You might just have a bad firmware dump.

Hi all. sorry to bring up an old thread, but i am having the EXACT same problem as this!! I just got my tablet yesterday and it was working PERFECTLY until after i tried charging it. And now I am getting yelled at by my dad because he thinks i got scammed, and i am realy mad at myself now. I really want to get this thing fixed. PLEEEASE any updates about this? PLEASE!

Contact Merimobiles,describe the problem,send it back and get a new one.Merimobiles is no scam company.

Hi, sadly, I did not order this from merimobiles, I ordered it from someone on ebay, in china, named fun_jceBay My World - fun_jcI'll send him another email, and lets just hope that he responds this time.
what a great thing to spend my first paycheck, from my first job on.

once again, sorry for hiijacking this thread, but i couldnt word my experience any better from what you had said previously.
just got a response from the seller, he asked me to recharge it for 6-8 hours, and i had already tried that, but hey, at least i got a response. i sent him a reply, now lets just hope he lets be exchange it

hmmph... 11 feedbacks, located in Shen Zhen...I hope he is serious about good ratings in eBay.Probably you will have to pay postage both ways,at least you have PayPal's eBay protection to support you.And dont give up, it is you first hard earned money! ;)

i hate people...i havnt gotten any more responses. i wonder if there is anyone on this site that would be willing to try their hand at repairing this thing for me. :(the only thingi can think of is a firmware problem.if anyone wants to try, ill be happy to send it to you and if you get it to work ill be happy to pay ya

I am starting to get really mad. this guy is ignoring all my messages. Geez! I shouldn't be surprised though, my luck always stinks...

Don't fret. You have both eBay and PayPal protection. It'll probably take some time, but in the and you'll likely not lose any money.Got scammed once, but eBay covered about half of my money (that was when eBay didn't always cover the full value, which they do now), and my credit card company covered the rest. eBay don't want a bad rep, so they'll do everything to keep the customers happy.From that point, I don't take any risks when buying from eBayers. Long time eBay seller, plenty of feedbacks (1000 or more), 100% (or close to) positive feedback, positive feedback on the same item you're buying - That's what I look for.

I didnt try to update it. I was told that i could, but ironically, I didn't do it because I didn't want to break it. :/Thanks zilvurZurfarn, that calms be down a lot lol. And I'll look into that hucqim

hey all. just an update.the seller has stopped answering my emails completely, last one that i got was him telling me that it has been 7 days and my warranty has expired even though i emailed him the DAY AFTER I GOT IT, and it is his fault it took so long because he has ignored me.
