Please believe that I have searched, read, and searched again for the answer to this question before posting it. I have a Mobo 8 and I would like to replace the firmware with an improved version without bloat. I have a Win8 pc. I have 2 problems: how to put tablet into firmware (?) mode and how to load windows 8 drivers. I am also interested to hear which firmware versions might be recommended for a dabbler with novice experience with Android system troubleshooting. (I have win8 drivers from rockchip, rkbatchtool, moborobo, and ZhuoDaShi, but don't know how to use them.)

If someone can, please provide steps to take to get RKbatchtool to work for me. In particular - how to load drivers, when to connect usb, when to turn on tablet, when to start rkbatchtool, whether to press reset, etc.>

Much thanks in advance.

Very "generic" instructions. Reply on areas you may get stuck.

Recommend the ROM from Flexion.org

Plug your momo8 in to your Windows 8 machine using the USB cable.
Install drivers when prompted using the driver you have downloaded.
Run the RKBatchTool.
First square (1) should show pink.
Click the switch button.
Install driver when prompted. If not prompted go to Start > Run or WinKey + R
Run COMPMGMT.MSC
Open Device Manager
Right-click the unidentified device and update driver with the one you have downloaded.
Once the correct driver is installed the First square (1) within RKBatchTool should be green.
In RKBatchTool select the .img firmware file you wish to flash.
Click Upgrade.
Wait...
