I got my irobot apad. It does not have GPS & BLUETOOTH. I noticed that I Cannot record voice through mic. Can anybody tell how to record & test the mic? The sound volume is also very low in apad.Thanks...Ayub

Try Fring or Sipdroid to test your mic - mine works.

I tried my mic using both video recorder (it does record the video, but the camera is very low grade) and Voice recorder (downloaded off of the market) and neither of them recorded my voice. Voice recorder did record some scratchy mechanical sounds, but nothing from the mic.

I did some more testing, too - and I can confirm that the microphone does not record anything after a second and just repeats the same noise over and over. I wish I could understand Chinese so I could try with the pre-installed video conferencing software. Tried with Sipdroid and Fring.

just a rash thought but , this device is really exotic in a sense that it does not use any ordinary and stock drivers for it's hardware. so there was a voice recorder in the very first stock Firmware , that might be able to use the microphone. can we extract it from the first version and use it?
