Still yet to have any problems with my M16. Is actually quite a powerful computer. Surprising how well it runs things considering it's a tablet, I've barely touched my PC :DNot sure if the older threads are coming back or not, but let me know if anyone wants some screen shots of anything in particular, for now I'll just post these benchmark pics I took.

running what system? android 2.1?hows wifi connectivity. any wall problems?how is the touchscreen? i mean...as compared to pda's like ipaq, dell, xda...those ive mentioned have great screen response. you could even draw or make sketches easily.reason i asked is because i noticed that my rockchip apad doesnt have that quality with screen responsiveness. sure its responsive for selecting. but i cant seem to glide that softly with apad.try drawing a simple image on your m16 using a sketch app. let me know how it feels. in a pda...its like drawing like on paper. screens very reactive.
The Rockchip 2808 running Cupcake 1.5 gets 190 points on the same benchmark for CPU test results, and Via chip set units get about 90 points. This M16 gets 950+ points for CPU on average. I have to tell you Mark the touch screen is faultless, I have an iPhone and I actually prefer the responsiveness of this Orphan instead. I've used an iPad and found it exactly the same as this resistive touch screen on here, and I'm extremely picky. I think touch screen is all about feel and how slidey they feel myself. Scrolling through menus takes a little getting used to, but after a few hours it's second nature and there are no more mis-touches.I'll try a drawing program and give you feedback to let you know how I get on.Yes it's running android 2.1WiFi works perfectly, I'm using WPA/TKIP on my access point and it took the key first time and obtained IP. My routers downstairs and the signal is stable upstairs with the indicator at halfway.Back to work for me, feel free to ask me anything else. Regarding the fingers gliding softly on the screen on aPad. I found with my M003 iRobot, it was a simple case of the screen not being so fresh and new, then my finger tips didn't stick to the fleshly unpeeled screen so much. Just a case of time.

Would like to get one, where didja buy it?
I got mine from Chinagrabber.com here, when I ordered mine there was a waiting list, but according to that link now there is no longer a waiting list and they are shipping out straight away. I do highly recommend the tablet and the seller.
JamesDroid, thanks for taking the time to post about this one, have been looking at the ZT for a while. Can i ask (1) how long did it take from order to receipt of the device and (2) have you managed to get the firmware to reflash if something goes wrong?
My friend ordered after release and his arrived from payment to doortstep in 7 days. Nothings gone wrong, it's a great unit. Orphan have an after sales support site, so should I need something I will check it out.
James, thanks for the quick reply, am still tossing up between the chinagrabber one and the flat computing one, is just a toss up atm as havent heard much about the flat one yet
forgot to ask, does this one have "Accelerometer" that allows auto rotation?
that is one of the most important questions to me, does it have a g-sensor or accelerometer?
James, thanks for all your info. I ordered the same MID from china grabber, and it should arrive end of the week. I hope it has a safe ride down the pipe to my door. Its refreshing to here an actual review of the Android M16, not many people from what i've seen on the web, have recieved theirs yet. Although there is another dude that posts on this site by the name of Zap, who has the same MID, and is having some problems. I feel for the dude, hope he can sort it out. Thanks AgainOh, and yes it does have an accelerometer.
I contacted PricedinChina and they said that flashing / trying to change operating system or upgrading to 2.2 / upgrading firmware would void any warranty on the device. " Flashing of trying to change operating system on the Orphan M16 will void the manufacturer's warranty. While anything is technically possible, we remind you will be doing so at your own risk - Thanks, Amy."
How about battery duration? How long can you stay away from the plug?Does de Mic works well?
I just visted the chinagrabber site, and seems that they do not offer as good of a price tag as the previous apad :(however, I came across this seller on aliexpresss, who sells the very same device for 170 shipped (to certain countries of the world, including the united states)anyone gonna give it a try?http://www.aliexpress.com/product-gs/323326981-Android-2-1-10-2-tablet-pc-ZT-180-wholesalers.html
sry meant 170 plus shipping to all parts of the world
other sellers and spammers should not post on this thread. That is obviously NOT the Orphan m16. Go to other sales sections of slatedroid to spam. If you have something that adds to the device like your own review of the product (you actually own it) or have new applications to share then post them here. There have been many Chinese sellers cloning and cheating / claiming to have the true apad and many users on this forum have been burnt or sold units with android 1.5 instead of 2.1. The M16 is the first unit on this forum to have android 2.1 pictures and video. Again, thanks for showing us the inferior model, but I have been burned before and will stick with the Orphan I ordered.
Good points @ Waiting, most of the old threads about un-reliable or bogus ali and other sellers disappeared with the old slatedroid servers (thank god)! Some may be new to the Orphan M16, here is what it should look like if you are hunting around for it. Supply is very scarce and that is why only several members on this forum have been able to review ANY 10.2" Android 2.1 Tablet.. As a good rule of thumb, if the seller / person reviewing something cannot product their own ORIGINAL pics, then it is a good possibility it not an Authentic model.

Again' date=' thanks for showing us the inferior model, but I have been burned before and will stick with the Orphan I ordered.[/QUOTE'] I, of course, understand that there are a lot of cheating sellers out there, but the sole purpose of me posting that link is to ask if someone has had already bought the device from the seller. In case you haven't noticed (or you hadn't joined the forum back then?) that I had posted in some old threads the same link and clarifying at the same time that I am not the seller or someone who's in any way related. I am NOT TRYING to get anyone to buy from that link either. Sir, I think that the tone of your speech is simply highly accusing of me without some form of evidence that I might be a cheater/spammer/seller. The specs on the two webpages (ali and china grabber) certainly do match, so the sole difference I see between the two is the price and the questionable genuineness. the aim of my posts are to share a potential seller who can offer the device at lower costs and no reasons are apparent to me why it should be prohibited on this forum.
