As per title - I turn the device on and the Android screen comes up telling me which version it is etc Then I get a black screen with just an Android logo, and then just a black screen. The 3 red lights on but no response from the buttons. Any ideas on how to get it working again? thanks It was working fine yesterday BTW.

That's pretty much what happened with me... are you getting charging lights when you plug it in?

Ah, it appears there's more hope for you than for me then... I only get LEDs when I plug it in, THEN turn it on... I have only gotten the blue charging lights once in a breif flicker since the first time I plugged it in/turned it on. : /

I just pressed the reset button and that did nothing. What could I try now?

I had no luck with the reset button either... Have you tried flashing to the newest firmware?http://slatedroid.com/index.php?topic=367.0The link to download 1.7.2 is there, copy the files to the root of your SD card, and then boot that sucker up. It should give you messages about updating the Android software, see if that doesn't help.Just out of curiosity, where did you get your tablet from?

OK, I just did that and get the same result, no updating message.i have contacted the eBay seller about returning it. Seller: grandtechdigital

the "scribe" folder, yes. Just open the zip file, and move that entire "scribe" folder over to the SD card. Then insert the card, and power up the device.

It seemed to take the upgrade fine, but now it just sits on the screen with the flashing Android logo. I think I will have to admit defeat and send it back for a refund. Been looking at he Archos 7 Home Tablet - double the price but the video capabilities will be welcome.

That's what mine does now, it goes to the flashing Android logo, and just sits there. Purchased mine on ebay as well, but from user colorsky888. Haven't left feedback yet, they're actually being very communicative. Sent them the video I shot of the problem (in this Gripe section under "Troubles in Android Land"), will post the response as soon as I get one.
