not sure if this helps in the quest, SmartQ7 has Samsung ARM S3C6410 667MHz processor running a version of Ubuntu (with 7" touch screen) and the SmartQ V5 - CPU type ARM 11 CPU speed 600 Mhz also runs Ubuntu (5" touch screen)
There are several Linux ports to ARM architecture, but as I understood (I am not a Linux programmer) they need to be compiled or packed for the specific hardware. If my consideration is true, we need someone able to do that who wants to help us.
its all above me as well, can say the version thats on the Q7 and V5 is okay and seems to work good, if anyone needs copies of the firmware lemme know. I also have a copy of qdroid?? i think that is android for the Q7, but it runs at slow speed, someone was trying to get it to work at 800mhz but its a work in progress.
if someone can direct me to the roms i will take a look and see what i can do i know if i can un pack and look at roms i can add drivers for our hardware i think i mess with linux all time but i have not flashed rom on one of these yet so i need some instruction
