Have any of the kernel devs out there looked at trying a linux 3.0 based kernel for android? Just curious, ya know?

(kernel version 2.6.36) Rayman is doing just that over on Tabletroms. But to get it working on Tegra 2 tablets requires rewriting drivers by hand, and there are a bunch of them.

In fact, see the previous thread in this section called " .36 kernel booting on Adam".

There is some development for the Trim-Slice that I've been watching for a couple months that might help us down the line. Here is a link to that forum. Trim-Slice

Wow.... arch on tegra 2 with a 3.1.0 kernel..... with mention of possible built in harmony board support in the kernel repository... could be a place to look as a start. Thanks for the heads up. Would rock to get archlinux running on the gtab!!!!

They also mention that the tegrafb driver is not working on trimslice yet. I also have not been able to get a booting kernel from the L4T or linus kernel tree yet. It seems to be a memory issue.

Got it booting but OpenGL does not seem to be accelerated, and this is using their rootfs and binaries. It doesn't look like they included all the needed binaries for OpenGL.

We have partial acceleration but nothing of real benefit under a linux OS yet.
