I love mine. I truly don't know if there's another tablet available that I'd prefer to use. My other tablet is a 10.1", and I prefer the 9" size (no more digital gymnastics using the keyboard) so much that it would take some significant advantages to go back to the 10.1 form factor. Taking a look at the options on Newegg:

Asus TF700 -- Pros: Much nicer display, more internal storage available, faster processor, a developer community!
Cons: 10.1", few apps use the higher resolution so it's good mainly for movies, complaints about performance lag and crashes, Asus quality and reliability!
Toshiba Excite 10 -- Similar specs to the A2109 but a better screen I'm sure (but the same res). 10.1"
Samsung Note 10.1 -- I've always thought this one looked interesting. Unfortunately, my disability has taken away my ability to write, so it doesn't make sense for me. I might really like this one otherwise.
TOSHIBA Excite 7.7 -- Ok, I might trade out for this one. Pretty much the same specs as the A2109, with an AMOLED screen, in a smaller form factor. Would I be happy with the size? That's the question.
Acer Iconia A700 -- Appears to be inferior to the TF700, in the same form factor.

Based on my personal preference and tablet usage -- which includes pointing the tab at my face, negating most viewing angle issues -- I don't think I'd prefer any of the above, except possibly the Excite 7.7. But in reality, price is a major consideration, and every tab above is twice the cost of the Lenovo (except the Acer). The bottom line is that the A2109 was a great purchase for me.

There is now a dev ROM for the A2109.
Right now we're at the point of having root, cwm, and a ROM free of bloatware and deodexed -- ready for some theming. If you've got an A2109, head over to the Lenovo forums.

Hi,
I purchased one of these this past sat. @ my nearby Best Buy, it was on sale for $ 249.00 ...I previously was using a viewsonic Gtablet that was 'rooted' and running a rom that I obtained from a 'different' website (trying to be polite) . So far anyway, I'd have to say I think it's considerably quicker than the gtab..of course it SHOULD be. Tegra 2 vs. Tegra 3 chip, I've already received the jellybean 'update' from Lenovo, don't see much difference YET. Unless I change my mind..I may not even root my A2109 .
As our youngest son came home to be with us @ Christmas, and he has never owned a tablet, I thought it would be nice if I gave him my gtab..which I have. I went into the CWM recovery area and performed a Factory /Data Wipe, so he could start with basically a 'fresh' installation of the rom that was loaded on there (smoother bean). Thank goodness he already had a google account set up. Now he's just making the gtab HIS, that's where the problem lies..some of the app's. he wants to install he's being notified they are 'incompatable' for his gtab. I checked it and when it displays which device to install on, it shows up as a Motorola Tervigon device. I've already used ES File Explorer and since the gtab is still rooted, I went into the build.prop area and changed some lines in there. Of I DID make a 'copy' of the original build.prop and stored it in a 'secure' area. So far, that hasn't corrected the problem. I went into the 'settings' area, under apps. and selected google play store and emptied the cache and cleared the data also. Also, I went into CWM recovery area and cleared the dalvik cache...STILL no luck !! Any one have any suggestions for me ?
MERRY CHRISTMAS !!

Hi guys... especially to Davy & Florider...
As y'all know, I've got an A2109 and love it but an desperate to unlock the boot loader.
That said, I did, however, own a Tegra 2, GTab... It was nice and speedy and rooted STUPID easy but had issues such as profound weight, much too big for my hands (and I'm 5'8" so my hands aren't terribly tiny... 6.5 ring size) and the digitizer NEVER synced properly. So, here I am... with the tremendous A2109 tablet and THRILLED to have it, too! Just hoping to have more support in the near future... it's not like this is a "new" tablet so I'm surprised that more people aren't as educated as we are and see the "bang for the buck" value that the A2109 has.
