Kindle App on M001

Has anyone tried the new Kindle app on M001 yet? The reason I ask is that I am thinking of buying a M001 -- but I have got to have the Kindle app... it is one of my requirements. I have actually downloaded the Kindle Android app and have it stored on my PC, because I understand there may be some problem accessing the marketplace thru the M001. So that brings me to my 2nd question: how do I install an app from my PC onto the M001. I can copy it to a memory card and insert it into the M001, but then what?Since this will be one of the main apps I want to use, this is critical for my decision. The other main app I need is some sort of recipe app. I used to have a MiBook that my wife used for that purpose, but it died. Now she has a memory card full of recipes, but no way to use them. They are stored as simple .txt files on the memory card. Is there an app, like Notepad for Windows, that allows the display of simple text files?Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I'll try it tomorrow morning if no one has responded by then. I have the Kindle app on my Android phone, but haven't backed it up and emailed it to my M001 yet. I just installed the Kindle app a few hours ago on my phone. if the Kindle app works on Android v1.6, then it should work on the M001 with no problems......but we don't know until we know. Tomorrow! It's late here in NZ and I'm going to bed.
Hi -Kindle app works fine on my M001. I have downloaded several book previews and a (free) novel.Go for it!John
Where can you get it?Market gives me a dropkick and doesn't download squat.
I used Market and went thru the usual routine - start market download - kill download - clear data in google apps (Settings - Applications - Manage Applications) - start d/l again in market - re sign in - Go!

I forget, but here's how I found it. I did a search here for threads about the Kindle and one of the top threads gave a link to a download site. I bet it would be easier to just Google "kindle android download"... I bet that would work.It is listed as working under Android 1.6, so I thought it might work on the M001, but I was worried about the RAM. M001 only has 128mb and I didn't know if that was enough. But at least one person responding here says it works, so I am happy. Now, once I get my M001, what do I do? I can copy the Kindle app onto a memory card, and plug that into the M001... but then what? How do I actually get an app to install on the M001 that way??

Good news!! Thank you!I hope someone has a clue about my 2nd question... how can I display plain text files?? There must be some kind of app that will do that.
Just for future reference to people who get this thread in a search, you can get the kindle app as an apk in the ultimate apps package in the downloads section here or you can probably find it by googling for it as well.
I just loaded a .txt file onto my my M003(m001 should be the same) and opened my file manager (estrong file manager) I just tapped on the file and it opened.
