Hello everyone, this is my first post, so I'll try to be concise and complete.
I have the WPDN, and I'm stuck in a really nasty flash loop. This all started with me flashing the CyanogenMod 6.1 beta. It installed fine, and everything was running well. I'm getting ready to send it back as I've discovered I'm getting a different tablet, so I wanted to bring it back to stock. Having used kewlguy's flash fixes prior to coming to 6.1, I thought it would be the best move to use them again to make sure that the firmware I flashed would take properly (For the record, I was planning to flash the 3/2 SH20 package).
I put the first file (fixbootloop) on my external SD, rebooted to recovery and let it flash. It went all the way through, and attempted to flash back to CM6. It didn't make it - it would loop at the boot animation (the word android in silver), occasionally showing the lockscreen. I didn't think it would be a problem to keep going, so I took out the external SD, put the second file on it (the one to merge everything to one FAT partition), and rebooted to recovery again. It started to flash, but got about 20% through the progress meter and then gave the Android exclamation image.
Now I'm in a real bind. I can't seem to flash anything. I'm still at the bootloop stage, but I've tried the stock package (3/2 SH20), the CM6.1 package, and even the Honeycomb package. They all fail at the same point.
I've cleaned off the external SD card (full format in windows), which is also having issues, as the 8GB card is now showing about half capacity (I'm assuming it's because the other half is yaffs formatted, and Windows doesn't understand that).
Other things I've tried (in the interest of full disclosure - I realize some of these may have been dumb maneuvers):
Pulling the internal SD card and formatting it on my Android phone - no change.
Using ADB to push the .img files (as mentioned in the "Step 3" post about fixing bootloops) - ADB sees the phone, lets me push files, but does not run shell.
Pushed the /system/bin and /system/xbin folders from my Android phone (to try and fix the no-shell issue) - ADB now sees the shell, but complains about permission errors.
I read on another post (titled Stuck Not Flashing) that I could put the flash files on the internal SD card and flash that way. I'm planning to try that as my next step. Does anyone else have any advice on how I can resolve this situation?
(By the way, I apologize for quasi-hijacking the thread, but as I used the tools here to get to where I am (totally my fault - great tools, PEBKAC/PICNIC), I thought that the people with the most experience and know-how would be in this location to help me with my problem.)
