Hi,Hope someone can please advise!Got my lil' A81-E today from JTShop....came quite quickly! It started right up and running 2.1....and soon will update to 2.2, if all goes well...In meantime, having problem shutting down completely the tablet. I click on the power button and display will go black with menu bar across top and then go back to home screen....iIf I hold down power button for a while then display goes black completely and there's a very tiny green dot lit up on power button. If I click on power button again, then it boots up again...So, have I really shutdown tablet completely or was it just a sleep?I want to make sure that I know how and can actually shut down tablet completely without yanking out battery....Also, I'm having problem getting online via my WiFi network at home. I did do the WiFi setup stuff in the Settings>Wireless & Networks section and I see the WiFi icon OK in the menu bar. But on the browser window, I see it say loading....there's about a 1/2 inch long yellow progress bar....after awhile, I get error message:
Data connectivity problemThe server failed to communicate. Try again later.
Have tried going to several different websites, but no go....Any suggestions???Thanks,Mark

Try cutting off your router and or modem and cutting it back on. Are you using WEP or WPA? Not that itshould make a real difference. Head to a free wi/fi connection like a McDonald's and see if you can connect.Do the firmware upgrade offered here also. The Wits is a nice product but may have a few bugs.

Thanks for your help!Tried restarting my router/DSL Modem...but no change...again, in WiFi settings it shows that I am connected to network, entered my WPA password too...but browser progress bar always only gets about a 1/2 long and goes no further....below it just says loading.....very odd....Also, still need to understand how to completely shut down tablet....per my comments above in first post....Want to upgrade to 2.2....downloaded and copied files onto my microSD card, but until I can shutdown tablet completely, I don't think I can start upgrade process....Thanks.
try remove battery, then plug in again.....
[quote name='Cappie2010;37756]try remove battery' date=' then plug in again.....[/QUOTE'] Thanks for your help, Cappie, but when i tried that before, about 2 seconds after I reinsert battery, I see the display light up...so, it turns itself back on, instead of staying shut off....
OK, managed to finally get things working by flashing to 2.2...now I can get to the power off menu onscreen when I click the power button....However, I'm still having problems browsing internet even after flashing 2.2....maybe someone can please advise....I setup WiFi again in the Settings and got connected to my home WiFi network (after entering WPA password), it shows that it's connected to my network. However, like before, when I try to go a website, I see the thin yellow progress bar in the upper left of display and I see the circular segmented wheel thing rotating next to the url address field....however, yellow bar like before, only get abot 1/2 long before it stops and after a minute or so, get error message shown in first post above.Any ideas????Thanks!o
turn off the security on your router and try to connect.
Remember the A81-E MAC address changes after every flash, not sure this is your issue. I use Mac filtering for my home router.

Thanks for your help, jmmkx2....from what I can tell when looking at my router config settings, I don't think I have MAC filtering on....
Also, tried some of the apps that are installed.....RockPlayer Not sure if this is related to not having purchased app, but it crashes when I click on a movie file...GalleryWhile this app works, it's a bit unstable I find, works forever to try and generate thumbnails of pics in folders....sometimes when I click on a rectangle with no thumbnail image shown, app crashes...
archi now try setting up the security with a new password.Sent from my HTC Hero CDMA using Tapatalk
