Mine is the same. Had the white screen while trying to download my gmail. Couldn't reset the darn thing. Poked around with a paperclip and the button was offset to the left. Reset and now seems to be working fine. When I pulled up the email app all my mail had downloaded. I'm still running it on the 1GB internal memory with no SD card and a load of photos and music on it. Don't think the card is nearly full but wondering if that would be a cause if it is.
