I like to develop a new application for a new project, and like to have my own custom application full screen, Android Tablet sound like the perfect fit for this, however does not seem to be easy to customize. When I plugin the tablet to a Windows Machine I was able to see the examples file structure, drag & drop some files was not a problem. but I wanted to learn more about the OS.I mounted in my Fedora Linux box, at first with the device turn it off did not show nothing, but later when I boot the device and plugged via USB... it got mounted. My first idea was trying to chroot into the new filesystem to made some changes... but no such thing... I was able to list all the files in the file system and this is the result:./eken_M001/|-- Demo_file| |-- MUSIC| | |-- Marvin Gaye - What's Going On - 01 - What's Going On.mp3| | |-- Stevie Wonder - Talking Book - 06 - Superstition.mp3| | `-- Van Halen - 1984 - 02 - Jump.mp3| |-- OFFICE| | |-- CMMI346226207344273266346270205345215225344270255350213261346226207345257271347205247350241250.xls| | |-- CY7C68013.pdf| | |-- WM8505 + MID Quick Start Guide.doc| |-- PHOTO| | |-- 008.JPG| | |-- 015.JPG| | |-- 028.JPG| | |-- 09082410310837d153e4ab2f3a.jpg| | |-- 0908251047988367399aa73f65.jpg| | |-- 45633012200911232136253413389535134_000.jpg| | |-- WATER4.JPG| | |-- cdcb0f3d33575f53b828d0e9e7872b2d.jpg| | |-- htc_wallpaper_05.jpg| | |-- m_1261395183211.jpg| | |-- m_1263023263898.jpg| | |-- sc.jpg| | |-- wallpaper_bentgrass.jpg| | |-- wallpaper_bluedotgrid.jpg| | |-- wallpaper_brick.jpg| | |-- wallpaper_galaxy.jpg| | `-- wallpaper_x67.jpg| `-- VIDEO| |-- Dog_In_Pool.wmv| |-- MasterCard.asf| |-- TEST.MP4| |-- frozenBubble.swf| `-- pinguin.swf|-- RECYCLER| `-- S-5-3-42-2819952290-8240758988-879315005-3665| `-- jwgkvsq.vmx|-- albumthumbs| |-- 1279162171886| |-- 1279162173736| `-- 1279162174285|-- ~peacock| `-- peacock.db`-- ~wmtmailWhat got my attention was the file in the RECYCLER folder called "jwgkvsq.vmx" this sounds like a VMWare virtual machine... if that is the case and based in the fact that browsing through the file system looks like a busy box file system...LocalDiskbinbusyboxcachedatadevetcliblost+foundprocrestoresbinsdcardshared_prefsqulist_stmt_journalssyssystemudiskvfat_dirThis perhaps is a good indication that this VMX is really a BusyBox Virtual machine with all the Android OS installed and ready to go. Does this makes sense ?In the past I was able to use 1GB USB drive and put slax linux on it, later install the Virtual Box Module and create a minimal Virtual Machine of Windows XP so any machine can boot the 1GB Slax and from there boot the Windows XP. Perhaps this could be something similar using BusyBox in a VMWare or some modified version of DSL Linux / Busy Box compiled with all the requirements for Android.Let me know what you think, perhaps we will be able to customize our own Dr01D =)

No, wrong architecture -- I'm not sure if you mean VirtualBox or VMWare, but neither supports ARM. qemu does, but there's no reason to think that it's being used here -- it's just a filesystem stored inside a file.

When you plug in via USB you are only looking at the SD card, I don't think the Android file system is available. The easiest way would be to use the android SDK and get an emulator up and running. I know you can do this with different HTC phones by dropping the system.img into your emulator, just not sure how you can do it with the M001 file system.
