while I observe than some brave people are attempting to build froyo from sources for the PDN although they seem to be a bit haphazard ATM as I have noticed any identification of support chips/SoC components and drivers required for it...

Uhhhh thanks? We just started working on it yesterday and video is already back to working, and audio is getting there as well, which I would say is decent progress for a day. We've known all the components for quite a while now too.
