I am weighing my options at the moment and trying to get an affordable device for simply reading pdf ebooks, and maybe throwing up some low res, content-heavy (read, not graphics-intensive) movies every once and a while.My question is this: does the 8" screen of the M003 offer that big of an improvement over the 7" of the m001 or m002? Furthermore, would a 10" screen really be necessary for reading most ebooks?Some of the books I have are scanned directly, and the print can be a bit small. These are not comic books, most don't have complicated diagrams--they are generally scholarly non-fiction, and some are in Chinese (I study linguistics and Chinese). Does anyone have experience using a 7,8, or 10" with ebooks? My friend has a 6" kindle which I found a little lacking.

I prefer the 4x3 ratio and larger size of the M003 over the 7" GT78.800x600 vs 800 x 480Have not used a10" device.Low speed of M003 is fine reading e-books

I got the M003 because the aspect ratio that mogrith talked about. I also wanted to use the M003 to read color PDF documents. Sadly, not enough horse power to handle viewing a full color PDF magazine. It does work great for regular ebook reading. The following apps all do a great good of ebook reading: FBReader, iReader, Kindle and Aldiko. I've got a few PDF readers and they can open National Geographic Magazine 30mb PDF, but page turning is a hassle. I think a standard PC (i386) 10 to 12 inch tablet PC, running any OS would be the best PDF viewer. I use my 14" older laptop and rotate the PDF document and its easier on the reading, but akward to hold. I have a few pics and other ideas on my blog tabletuser.blogspot.com LINKI think a few more Mhz or power and 256mb of RAM could be a workable combination. The SmartQ R7(Ubuntu) and soon the be released T7(Android) could be the $300 solution, both are 800x600 and 256mb DDR2 ram, and better ARM11 600mhz cpu. Here are a few more tablets from this forum LINKI've read of getting 4 hours of reading from the M003. I've ran Pandora radio for 3hr 10min. Turn WIFI off, and decreasing screen brightness, might be able to hit 5 hrs. Consider a book cover MOD if your doing some serious reading, LINK makes holding M003 much easier.
