[quote name='Dick Whitman;36673]They have some leverage. As the first thing on the market' date=' they have a ability to shape the consumer's perception of an android tablet. Without a working market or google apps, the consumer may think less of android and its tablets. Depending on how far these tablets spread into the technically impaired public. Not much but it's something.I believe in the little augen that could.[/QUOTE'] I believe augen can't do a damn thing, and never will be able to. Augen would have to join the open handset alliance to gain access to the google apps. Oha already has big name computer people in it (asus for example) and google could not give a damn less about augen.Google sent a cease and dissist to cyanogen for using the apps in the builds, and they were not charging, you honestly think google is just going to let augen get away with selling illegal copies of their software? Augen is quiet and scared and frankly I think they are about to go bankrupt over this. They got rushed by kmart, were disperate to be a player in this market, and fucked themselves over, and frankly did the same to people who bought this falsely advertised item. I returned both of mine, and sorry the false advertising was not from kmart, it was augen. Augen printed the box, augen said things were their(including market) on that box, augen lied. Augen will likely pay the price for their lies, and I imagine they will not be a solvant company much longer.Btw, the tablet is not the only device they "forgot" to take google apps off of, the netbook with android that they sold through kmart was the same way.
