How to leave apps with the apad?

I have the Eken M001 and it has a hardware 'back' button, to leave apps and such. Today I received my redlight Apad. How do I leave apps? There doesnt seem to be a button for it. Using the Homebutton, the app stays open and I'll have to use appkiller to close it. Is there a way to allways show the software backbutton?
