I take it you are trying to use the animated GIFs as a background picture. If that's the case, then it will not work. For moving wallpaper, Android has something called Live Wallpaper and it is supported by Android 2.1 and above. You can search the forums to see if someone has installed 2.1 on their slate, but I don't think that's happened with any of the eken models (or any other models for that matter). And if they haven't made it to 2.1, then I wouldn't get your hopes up about making it to 2.2
How to get animated GIFs to run in Android / M001
Until possibly 2.1 and for sure in 2.2 Android would not support animated GIFs. Is there a fix for this? Or should we just install 2.2 and be done with it?Is it possible to simply download an upgrade and move to the 2.2 version of Android?
