I've been trying to find out how to change the bootsplash image per ROM but can't figure it out. Searching the forums and Google has brought me to nothing that seems specific about the aPad. I know through my development on the M001 it's stored in NAND, but what's the deal with the aPad?It's obviously possible as Roger has done it.

I found it, edited it, and upon creating update.img or just uploading system.img, it hangs on A N D R O I D _I basically decompressed update.img using AFPTool, then mounted the system.img file and extracted it to a local directory. I decompressed framework_res.apk, edited the image, and repacked framework_res.apk as a ZIP, which is what it reported being before I decompressed it. Then I rebuilt system.img using mkcramfs, then used the mkupdate.bat script to remake update.img. Thus the result. My build environment is Ubuntu 10.04. Is there something I didn't do correctly?

I am confused by what you mean. Isn't it CRC'd when it's made?EDIT: I'm going to try dragging it into the apk without ever deleting the APK to begin with like I did the first time.EDIT 2: That worked, thank you
Now off to figure out how to disable the lock screen so it just goes to sleep and wakes back up without locking...
