I hacked my novel everything was great. But I hit the default button in the screen that showed my homescreen options, 91pandahome or PDF reader(the normal PDN home screen) or another one, something home( has the slide up screen with my apps) Sorry I am trying to remember it. Now I can't get past the one screen. Blue one with no icons, nothing to choose. Can anyone tell me how to fix this??Thanks so much!

Can you use the menu button from the menu hack? If not then try the below.adb install another home launcher and then restart the Novel. It should give you the option to pick a new home launcher.Julie nipped in before me. lol

The menu button takes me back to the original PDN home screen. But I can't get to the other screen. Can you get me started to install another home launcher? Also doesn't home switcher solve this problem? I installed it but I don't know where it is or how to use it. I appreciate all your help!!

Home switcher does help with this but you have to be able to get to Home Switcher and you apparently can't at the moment.Have you used ADB to do the hacks on your Novel so far?If yes the connect your Novel to your PC. Open a command window in the tools folder of the android sdk. Place an alternate Home Launcher in the tools folder and then type the following in the command window.adb remountadb install name of home launcher.apkThen restart your Novel.

[quote name='geebekazoo;43998]Did you install bar control' date=' smartbar, do the notification bar hack and add home switcher to the notification bar? If so, just slide down the notification bar and open home switcher.[/QUOTE'] Good call. Maybe he has done that.

I've tried all the suggestions with no luck. Should I flash my novel back to 8-06 firmware and re-do the hacks? That is the only other thing I can think of. But i'm trying to avoid that.. aagghh! I could kick myself, it was working great!

I didn't refresh my browser to see your post, before I posted secretseven. I am going to start over. I can't seem to get adb to work in the command line. It says not recognized as an internal or external command. whatever that means

I think that usually means you are not issuing commands from the directory that contains the ADB.exe file. You need to use the DOS CD command (with appropriate modifiers) to get to the directory where the ADB file resides.. then issue the command "adb... etc...."All explained in the Beginners Guide.. in the stickies..

capellipro.. also http://www.slatedroid.com/pandigital-novel-android-tablet-discussion/3704-newbie-how-guides.html .. look at the Moderate guide.. assuming you follow directions there and put the files from Nate's original hacking material in the directory C:NOVEL, then you would get a command prompt from your windows menu and type CD C:NOVEL and "enter". You would hen be in the same directory where you extracted the contents of the zip file.. your ADB.exe file will be there.. you can issue the adb commands from there.Marks reference above may give you an easier path to success if you are not comfortable going to a DOS command window in Windows and issuing commands.
