Did you try a factory reset via recovery? Either holding both power and volume plus buttons, or power and volume minus, till the tablet powered up into recovery mode, then choosing the factory reset option?

HELP! I need firmware or ROMs for the Visual Land Prestige ELITE 7QS - 7" QuadCore 16GB Android Tablet with Lollipop 5.0 OS HELP! mine is stuck on the "Visual Land Prestige ELITE 7QS" boot screen. HELP!

oh sure, first thing, lol even tho that's the first thing i did, VL customer support had me do it twice before telling me to send it in, unfortunately I cant do that, it was a gift and i have no way of getting any of the info that they wanted. Sounds like they at least tried to help you, I couldn't get anything out of them, except for automated replies either saying they don't provide updates or for an RMA...
The first thing I did with the 8QS after rooting it was to make a backup, then installed adfree to block ads, made the tablet much more responsive, although as you said, booting up does take a while....

Welcome to SlateDroid.
Go to the Settings, click on Backup and Reset and chose either Factory Data Reset of Recovery Mode for to get the Tablet back to it's 'vergin' initial state as it was new. That should reset the Tablet to default settings and all should be working!
