Just joined and just bought PD from BBB (got the discount and everything). This thing (as someone posted before) has some serious potential.I'm coming from an Archos 5 Internet Tablet - IMHO the PD is far superior. But it occurred to me that there's a lot of valuable stuff in the Archos Wiki not the least of which are sources/links for APK's for a lot neat apps - here's a link List of Applications tested to work - Wiki.ArchosFans.comFor now I have one question: Is it possible to root one step, i.e., without pushing through an ADB bridge, and/or is it possible to install hacks without ADB. For example, are there any hacks that could be installed juust as a simple APK?Great forumdocfreed

My DropinFirmwareMod isn't completely perfect, but you could install most of the usual hacks (volume key hack, google exp) with that plus a copy of the stock firmware.It's in the Development section.

Thanks I'll look for it. Also, it occurs to me that a lot of groundwork has been done by the folks at archosfans.com (in the A5IT forum) since the A5 also runs Android 1.6
