I took my epad apart and did some research. I was able to figure out some of the pieces parts. This information really isn't important unless you are playing around with building roms. I'm having some issues finding the battery maker. The information on the battery doesn't seem to make any manufacturer. I tried several variations without success. I'll try again later today to find a match.

My battery life sucks on this device. I get maybe an hour of use out of a full charge and that is with the screen half-dimmed. I am using wi-fi, but isn't that the point? Its portability and usefulness goes way way down with the existing battery. Is there a better quality, higher mAh battery that fits in this device or is an external all that will help this?

You should be able to find one on ebay, do a search on "sonix webcam". It appears that the HP branded ones ( really sonix ) should work for you. Heck they may be an improvement over the factory one.

found some info on possible battery manufacturers at least for my epad. I'm not sure how many versions of these things are out there. Anywho, two good candidates are:sunhigh-battery - Sunhigh Battery Co.,Ltd - I'm guessing this is company that made my battery based on model number.megatec batteries - NiMH rechargeable batteries,Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries,Li-polymer batteries

Is that Sonix camera and board the same type that's in the tablet and can just be plugged in, or does the camera have to be removed from the eBay board and soldered into the tablet?

That webcam appears to be an exact replacement for the unit in my epad. The connection and holes looked to match perfectly with mine. Hate to say it but you might have to pull your tablet apart and check it out. I really don't know how many epad variations are out there. Let me take a picture of mine and post it so that you can compare mine with the one I found on ebay. I won't be able to do this until tonight when I get off work.

I look forward to it. The existing camera is a POS IMO and if the software will handle it an upgrade to 1.3mp can't be anything but good.

Battery life has increased with build 1.9_88 Rooted. OP do you have pictures showing the internals of PCB?

What ROM are you using? Webcam and camcorder work as installed in 1.9_88 (although the 0.3mb camera quality is horrible!).

I've got a M70003 with a 1.3 Megapixel camera. Camera quality is ok but no program (Fring, Sipdroid, eBuddy) will run it.
