I recently bought the Haipad MID from aliexpress. The device runs great, but I can't to restore the tablet to factory defaults. There is a pre-existing gmail account which I can't seem to remove. And similar Google talk goes into this account, with the ability to switch to my gmail account. I'm hoping someone has figured out how to circumvent these issues. Thanks

Did you ever solve this problem? When I try to do factory reset it just powers off the MID. I also want to remove the google account I setup while testing the device.

No luck as yet. I tried going to setting and removing it from "accounts and sync" I get a message saying this account is required for some apps and its best to run "reset to default" to remove this account. The person I bought this from, says there is some new firmware coming out this Saturday which would allow to remove this account. She mentioned that they need this account to test the MID's before shipping them out.

I MAY have a fix for you guys.If you reflash with new firmware it shoudl clear out anything in the device. I think I found Firmware that will work with your device. I don't have the tablet BUT on Pandawill they released the Firmware for their G10 Device whice im 98% certain is the same as the Haipad device.Go here: Firmware for Gpad G10 upgrading - Download Center - Pandawill Forum Powered by our member! - Powered by Discuz! Here is their product page for the device: Buy Gpad G10 Android 2.1 MID 7 Inch 1080P 3D Games Multi-Touch Gravity Sensor Compare Gentouch78 compare price at pandawill.comI would DOUBLE CHECK! to make sure everything is the same before you try and flash but like I said I am fairly certain they are the same device just Pandawill re branded it as their own.

[quote name='samirmehra;41709]Ok' date=' I'm a noob at this. This is my first MID. How do I Double check before flashing this image on the MID ?[/QUOTE']You don't need to reflash if you can connect to the device with adb. There are plenty of posts here (do a search) on how to connect with adb. This is how you clean them up using adb debugging bridge from windows or LINUXDeleting accounts and email cache manually using adb

I have some problems with Android Market. When I want to install something, the only thing that Market does is displaying "Starting Download..."Is it possible to reset the device to factory settings or is deleting the gmail-account enough?
