Apps can be installed on an HP Touchpad by downloading from WebOS market. Or they can be installed with third party methods, WebOS QuickInstall or Preware.

Instruction for installing apps into Touchpad:

1>Download http://dl.dropbox.co...stall-4.3.1.jar
. Then double click WebOSQuickInstall-4.3.1.jar to run.
. If Java was pre-installed, a window will open with the message 'no device found'.
. Click 'reinstall novacom'. This will install a directory c:\Program Files\Palm, Inc\ folder. This folder will be necessary for CM7 installation later if desired.
. Click Cancel then Reboot the PC.
. For a bit more acquaintance with the method, view this

2> Turn on Developer Mode on the Touchpad using this method: http://claptop.com/2...-a-hp-touchpad/

3> Connect Touchpad to PC then press 'Close' when 'USB connection' window opens on the TouchPad. On PC, double click WebOSQuickInstall-4.3.1.jar to run.
. WebOSQuickInstall window opens. Click the + sign to select apps (.ipk files) to install.

Enjoy,
