Is it possible to install a GPS divice in the M-001? i have an old phone that has a GPS system in it and i was wondering if i could remove the component and put in the M-001

It is hypothetically possible. It depends on how the GPS is wired into your phone. In most current phones the GPS is integrated into either the processor or the GSM/CDMA chipset. In those kinds of phones you would not be able to hook it up (without a LOT of soldering).

it is a lg rumar2 that i have lying around. i havent opened it up to see, but i think i might have something else sitting around that may be older

Stripping a GPS from a mobile phone is going to require a lot more work (if it is even possible, which on 99% of mobiles, it is not). You should just buy a small serial GPS (like this one) and then connect it to the serial connector on the back of the EKEN mobo. You would have a much better chance doing this than stripping a mobile phone.
