I just got my A81-E yesterday. I flashed it to Mns 809 unthemed firmware and I have an issue with the GPS. (the issue actually remains no matter what firmware I use) When using maps, it seems to think my location is in the middle of the ocean. On the Equator and slightly below Africa to be exact... When I try to navigate with it, it says it doesn't understand the directions or something. Anyone have this issue as well? When I use the gps test program, it reports the same thing but it shows NO satellites are detected/connected. Do I perhaps have a defective unit?

Doubt it. I don't think the GPS is working right in any firmware, in fact I think the 0809 was the first to even have the drivers for the GPS. I don't think it works accurately in the maps program yet. But that's just from reading other's impressions. I've never tried it and I don't have mine with me to try it right now.

Same thing happened to me at first and I began to think my unit didn't have a GPS chip. So I ran gps test and let it sit by a window for about 15min and when I came back, it connected to 7 or 8 satellites. Maps worked fine after that as well. Now it connects much fast but I haven't actually tried moving around with it.
