Really good from what I have seen. Though you have to give up HDMI & micro-SD. But you get a quality product. Quick updates and well working Android OS. 10 hours battery life. Tegra3 chip. GPS, Bluetooth and 1280x800. Crisp display. What is the genera l feeling about the Nexus, OK?
The Nexus 7 is a really great tablet spec wise. Should give great performance and with Google making the OS will have the best and latest version of Android too. I am sure you will enjoy it very much.Just got a Nexus 7 as an early Xmas present. The 16g model was $199 but the Gamestop we went to didn't have any more 16g so I got the 32g instead($249). FREAKING AWESOME!!!
exactly i just brought a new android tablet, thinking of getting another tablet, some good info, i am going to look into it, thanks for the infoIndeed, it's a great value proposition for consumers, but I can't see Google's other partners (eg Samsung, Motorola, ASUS themselves) being pleased with this, since it undercuts them massively.
There is now an app on the nexus 7 which allows access to USB drives without root. I have it and it works.

As long as the tablet can provide enough power to the drive, it should be fine.Is it possible to use an External USB Hard Drive instead of a Flash Drive? Same question for other Tablets with Mini USB?
