Just checking, is this a total replacement for the PD home? Does it remove all PD crap and function like the eken does with everything customized?
This adds a "stock" home launcher, though you dont need to use it if you don't want to. It doesn't remove anything.tobias said:Just checking is this a total replacement for the PD home? Does it remove all PD crap and function like the eken does with everything customized?
I found something called "NoLock" that people were using on the Droid. You might want to try that.tnkclark said:After installing the Google Experience I'm getting a lock screen every time I wake the Novel up from sleep mode. Any idea how I can get rid of it?
I don't have one of these tablets, but I have an Android phone and I think that this is just the design of the home screen. It does the same thing on the phone and I saw a Google engineer comment that this was by design.cheepmank said:The Home page defaults to Landscape mode (battery charge hole pointing up) and Auto rotation is not working? Well, I gave up and removed all the files copied with Google Experience. I still had the lock screen, so I did Settings/Privacy/Factory Data Reset. That got rid of the lock screen. It also got rid of everything installed with ADB Install, but that was easy enough to do again. It must be something in Google Experience causing the lock screen, so I left it off. The volume button mod and S10_07_05B update survived the Factory Data Reset.tnkclark said:After installing the Google Experience I'm getting a lock screen every time I wake the Novel up from sleep mode. NoLock has been added to the app forum.tnkclark said:Well I gave up and removed all the files copied with Google Experience. I still had the lock screen, so I did Settings/Privacy/Factory Data Reset. Factory reset resets the /data partition. You probably had something stale in cache (which is stored in data) which said to keep the lock screen on.tnkclark said:Well I gave up and removed all the files copied with Google Experience. Know any way to refresh or clear the cache?clockworx said:Factory reset resets the /data partition. You probably had something stale in cache (which is stored in data) which said to keep the lock screen on.Volume Button mod and the S10 update live in /system so that's why they were unaffected.
Any chance you could post the Mac rewrite? Are you translating it into an applescript or making it readable by the unix shell?sharpfork2 said:I rewrote your bat file to work on my Mac and am up and running. Thanks a bunch!
The developers for the programs need to fix this. Hopefully it will happen.POTI said:Can we at least rotate the home screen 90 or 180 degree's?If you don't have it the exact way it likes when you return from menu's it just keeps forcing closes.Great work BTW!
If you run "adb devices" does PD_Novel show up? If you have no idea what I'm talking about you should probably head over to the Beginner's Guide and make sure your ADB is working. http://www.slatedroid.com/index.php...if-you-dont-read-around-bf-asking/page__st__0bkagan said:Could someone post some screen shots of this process? I've been trying to install this on and off for the last few days and have had little success.I've even attempted installing manually line by line but after repeated installs I'm unsure what should already be there and what shouldn't.
Maybe someone could post some UNinstall instructions so I can start clean? (would flashing the factory 24k firmware achieve this?)
I know I/we/you need to be patient and give the novel 10 or so minutes to properly install everything but it never locks or shows any new icons as described in the instructions.
careful - android still has security issues, and no antivirus/antimalware to speak of.bjames said:Just checked Corp E-Mail works like a charm. Now if I can only get the Home screen to auto rotate, all of the other screens do except that one.
It plays mp4 native. some programs allow other formats to work. it can run youtube, for example, and people have had mp3 and avi working.Laharl said:what about video filescan this thing play video files?
