I've had my 16GB version for about 4 months now. I too, like it a lot. Archos has been pretty good with improving the firmware although a newer version of Android would be nice. Since it has a heavy PMP emphasis, it plays videos pretty well right out of the box, which many of the other Android tablets have trouble doing. The screen is clear and bright and the resistive touchscreen works very well. It also has some hardware features that most of the other tablets here lack... Bluetooth and GPS. While GPS may not be that important for a less-portable 7+ inch device, Bluetooth is really nice to have on a tablet. With a small Bluetooth keyboard and mouse I can do some pretty neat things with ConnectBot (SSH) and VNC. I think all of the Android tablets here would find more uses if they just added this one feature.I only have two gripes with my Archos 5 Android... the use of a Micro USB connector port and the lack of hardware buttons. I can understand the connector, because it IS amazingly thin. But why not more buttons? While Archos has done a nice job with the Notification Bar buttons and the Button Bar mode, I still wish for the physical buttons/DPad/Trackball instead of eating up screen space. That said, it's a beautiful piece of hardware that I can use for a lot of things. I'm very pleased with it.
