I have had my aPad for a couple days. I ran the stock ROM for the first 2 days, and didn't notice any issues with the backlight.I flashed Roger's 5.1 ROM and last night while I was using the device at night I noticed a lot of flickering. It was annoying. Now, I was charging at the same time, so I figure it is tied to that. Checked it now without charging and I don't see the flicker.

You've got the problem spotted already, it's the dodgy charger they come with, I now use a better more powerful charger (as posted elsewhere) and don't get the flicker using it, I did on the stock charger.

I get that flicker effect when using my pad while charging. I guess a new charger is in my immediate future.

Nope, not metalic and not charging via usb. The metalic ones can charge via USB eh? What more power charger is recommended? Where did you find it?
