Take the *.img file, rename it to update.img and download it to the root of the micro sd card plugged into the tablet.
The system is supposed to recognize that there is an update and will prompt you to install.

For some reason it does not work for me today... don't know yet why...
(have done that numerous times with previous rom without an issue)

Thanks for the reply. I had my tablet booted and sitting on the home screen as I inserted my SD card. Nothing appears to have happened. Is there a ROM manager that people have successfully used for this? I tried flashing it in recovery mode, but my recovery mode always gives me an error symbol and I can't use it.
Success!

I followed the instructions giuseppe0413 posted.

1. download the lastest A15 firmware from Teclast site : ftp://d:[email protected]/A15(E6C2)-V1.00-2B14.rar (in this case ICS)
2. use the reset button on A15 (small hole above the TF card slot)
3. hold the vol+ button during connect PC with USB cable
4. if need install the driver on PC (driver included : http://arctablet.com...h_Tool_v1.4.zip)
5. run the RKBatchTool.exe with administrator rights
6. if all the above lines was right, there is a green box in 'connected devices' groupbox
6. unpack A15(E6C2)-V1.00-2B14.rar
7. select the .img file for FW path
8. run flashing with upgrade button

I have just completed the same.
You described the process very well.
The first time around I ended up with a bad installation - could not install anything off the market and had sluggish system.
I then followed for a second time and the result is good.
First impressions (compared to 2.3.1) - the issue with slow download speed that caused sluggish streaming of video is gone.
Also, Netflix app seems to load. Have no Netflix account yet to verify that actually works.

Have not managed yet to root it ("adb devices" returns nothing..., so cannot continue...)

I hope this will help you ...
giuseppe,

Thank you for this description.
Have only now spotted it after having gone through the trouble of trial and error...

Credit for this goes to giuseppe0413.

Initial reaction to ICS is positive. The interface seems better aligned (no cut off images/text)
A little trouble getting Market to download correctly, but this was fixed with a reboot.

I haven't rooted mine yet either. I will wait for another MrT script hopefully! The last one was amazing.

Installed ICS 4.0.3 (http://file2.mydrivers.com/tablet/Teclast_A15_E6C2-android-4.0.3-DF05.zip) yesterday. Apart from the new interface there is not much obvious increase in performance.
Despite updating to the latest version of Adobe Flash I cannot view websites with Flash content. Also many applications that worked with 2.3.1 are no longer compatible with 4.0.3 and cannot be installed. This may be related to Flash of course.

Anyone any ideas or tips? I was excited about installing ICS but wonder if it is a backward step now

Try the Transformer Root Script:
View attachment Transformer-ICS-RootScript.zip

For Flash try these direction and use Opera Browser:
REQUIRES ROOT ACCESS

Open Settings --> Apps
Click on All and force stop and disable the Adobe Flash.

Open up ES File Explorer and make sure you have enabled System level (root) access in the settings.
Then browse to /system/app and delete the Adobe Flash in there.

Open up the Market and download the latest Flash.

You may also want to download Dolphin Browser HD or Opera Browser (generally better flash support)

Now reboot the tablet.

Open either browser and change the settings to enable Flash and Desktop view mode.

You should now be good to go.

Anyone else having difficulty getting voice search working?
Have not had yet success rooting the 4.0.3.
The reason, I understand, is that I cannot find a suitable driver for the device.
I am running Windows XP. The device is listed as A15(E6C2) in the device manager.
Wherever I looked - no driver available.
Do not recall having this problem when running 2.3.1
Does anyone know where to find driver?
My experience with 4.0.3 so far: (list of what I found to be not working...)
1. Camera seems not to work
2. Netflix app doesn't work
3. voice search does not work
4. Streaming video (youtube) has the same occasional buffering issues that I experienced with 2.3.1. I found that disconnecting wifi and reconnecting often eliminates the problem.
I have the same problems.....impossible to root without drivers

Fresh install of ICS yesterday.

For me,the camera is working well (i have to test it with skype this evening).

no wifi problem (wep).

I'm happy with this release for the moment (especially we have tabs in the browser now).
Hi all,

Unfortunately I can't test ICS for A15, because now my PC can't recognize A15 as android device, but the tablet works fine.

Maybe the USB chip damaged on A15, when I connected to the PC through USB, but reverse miniUSB position. Very easy to connect reverse position, because on A15 there is no hard connector frame around miniUSB connector.

By the way, what is the correct position to miniUSB connection, the miniUSB wide side up or down ?
