After doing a factory reset the M001 seems to say No recent application?Any ideas what this means?

I did the same thing. It looked like all the apps got erased and for me a noob meant it was useless after that.

All you need to do is do a firmware upgrade, it will fix it. You are right tho, the 'restore to factory default' does indeed screw up the m001.

InterestingMaybe this is a feature that need to be removed in new versions of the ROM?Mine is going back to the supplier for a screen fault so I wanted to reset my data for security hence a factory reset.Still works but agree a reload of the ROM is required.Some times bad things are good example:First M001 had 1.6 1.7.1Second M001 has 1.6 1.7.2 Market Place is workingYoutube works but no video so it doesnt work since youtube is video contentSeems a lot more stableMarket Place has more appls in chines that englishWifi battery life is close to 2+hrs and still goingTurn the back leds down to low and it last longer still.

That is not the real market place, just a Chinese DIY market place.
