Rather than hack the existing battery and blow myself up due to no working knowledge of batteries, would the follwoing work?:Universal 10000mAh External Battery USB for PSP/NDS/NDSL/MP4/MP3/Mobile Phone

no way in hell is it 10000mAhmore like 1000 or the slim chance 10000But no it wont work stock, It would only ouput 5v.

They now make booster chargers for laptops - even energizer and duracell make them - which you could get. A pretty expensive alternative to pluggin in...
