I have seen various EPUB readers but am looking for an android app capable of reading DRM protected files! My Wife bought some E Books from Waterstones and they work great on her PC But the idea was to be able to pop them on her M001 to take on vacation.I know there is a workaround to strip protection with Python and Pycryptor, But I rather keep it simple, These are all Adobe Digital Editions (ADEPT protected) I am happy to pay for any app that will work! Thanks in advanceMark

Now I have read that there is a way to circumvent the DRM protection, As far as i am concerned it's fair game as I am not attempting to steal anything, What i want to do is make the ebooks my wife downloaded from waterstones available to read on her aPad because after all that's why she bought hers as it was advertised as an Ebook reader she had no idea that there were different formats and to be honest i only knew of PDF and Epub.... Well little did we know that something advertised as being able to read Epub files wouldn't read DRM protected epub files! After all we were not attempting to copy or upload them, we were just trying to read them! Now I feel cheated!I have found a way that is supposed to work so that i could read them but am having no luck with it myself although there are others using it!I will not put up full instructions here as i am not sure how it stands from a legal point and i don't want to get this board into trouble!...But for those who want to check out I?CABBAGES blog on the subject and instructions then try this link

Personally I recomend FBReader...... But again not being able to read DRM protected E books it has it's limitations!I have nothing against People wanting to protect their intellectual property..... But they are dictating what readers and software we use to view them on!Isn't this an anti trust issue?Surely the best way to protect your intellectual property would be to encode the e mail address of the purchaser into the file so that if any are found on file sharing sites they could pinpoint the buyer and hold them responsible!
