Elocity A7+ HDMI and VEVO

Just had to convey my impressions of my experiments tonight of the Elocity A7+ and streaming VEVO into a 42" plasma TV.

I was looking at the Roku coming to Canada and the selection of Android boxes available, so I thought, hey, lets try out the tablets I have to do the same thing...

The Vevo app, once started, without user input, if you select a random video it evolves into a continuous VEVO selected stream of music videos, I set the quality to high and then plugged a standard M/M HDMI cable in. The tablet is running stock 3.0022 Elocity ROM and VEVO was obtained from CNET 1Market.

I watched for ninety minutes, streaming on a Wireless-G network. Absolutely glitchless and solid, high quality video and sound.

The Elocity screen stays active, meaning that you can skip a track easily, the tablet was on an AC adapter and maintained full charge, was a little warm but not hot.

As (so far) I have Youtube, Vevo, Netflix running 100% and then all my movie players, Rockplayer, Mobo, QQ all running well, I feel that the Elocity can become my (more configurable) Roku.

Would like to hear from other users and their streaming, via HDMI, to a big screen TV.

I think I have posted here before as well about the streaming quality. I even watch Amazon's Prime video on my plasma. Currently my HDT tablet is my Kyros 1024 with an upgraded 32GB internal microsd. I might swap it with one of my 16GB and go with the 32 in the Elocity external slot. I haven;t had a single bad experience with streaming even sites that give the warning not enhanced for mobile viewing..
In the last week or so we have used the Elocity as the hub for the TV, I prefer Netflix through the Apple TV but playing files (using simple old QQ) is very good, plus streaming Vevo and Youtube. Amazing that Youtube is filtered heavily through Apple TV and also the Android APP but HQ through Boat mini to the main Youtube site is very good.
This is Veevo HD (INDELIBLE STUDIO) that you are talking about? Regular VEVO resolution is poor.

Vevo streamed through my Elocity A7+ HDMI to my 42" plasma TV is excellent. It is HD resolution (you can set it) and compares very well with Apple TV streaming. I'm running version 1.12 VEVO (not Veevo) and when you start the APP and a video there is a set button in the lower right corner to select three levels of resolution. I set it on high.

You can get VEVO v1.12 on the CNET marketplace.
