Well I don't know if it's any better, my M003 is getting repairs done so I can't test it, but if anyone else has had time to try it I'd be interested to know more...

Just thinking, but if the Augen Gentouch can play great Youtube then the M003 should be able too!

Downloaded (206 MB) and installed already.The first difference is just a bit difference picture of the Android and the animation.Connected USB Hub with Mouse and Keyboard just works fine. There's a new Icon for the USB Hub in the upper left Screen corner beside the Home Icon.After the first start I calibrated the Touchscreen. On the Settings screen now displays: Ethernet (Configure Ethernet) and Pppoe settings (Connect broadband connection)It seems to be that I now could check for the Ethernet USB connector again (one that will work!) and could use direct connection to my Network and therefore to the Internet as well without the need of the WiFi!The main will be to find out the problem with Error I had with the FW 1.9 will happens again?!

Will need a bit of time to check all changes and see the outcome.

Faster? Maybe a little! More responsive? For me it looks like that! More stable: for sure!I use the Eken mainly for eBook developing and testings and I'm not interested in Youtube movies, sorry. Using Aldiko for the eBook testing, it shows me that those eBooks are readable on an iPad. And that's exactly why I use the Eiken, because I'm not crazy to pay 8-10 times the cost for an iPad. On the other hand I do not like the way how Apple is screwing the customers and patronize them!Anyway, this FW 1.9.1 is much better than the 1.9!

You're just right! Let someone take out the chinese crap to first and add some usefull apps like Aldiko etc. and the FW would be much better!I work since at noon with it without a single problem and that's something!!

Thanks for posting info on this new ROM, stable and "incredible" youtube. Can anyone post some benchmarks, like softweg benchmark program? Can't wait for the cleaned up custom ROOTED version. Good to see the Eken is staying active in upgrades. I couldn't get the download link to work, so anyone upload to alternate site?

Just downloaded the 1.9.1 updated, and installed. The tablet does seem more responsive. Yotube Is excellent, definitely better quality than the low-res.Tried to install the following apps and had issues.1. SPB TV FULL VERSION - Installed, but would not connect to any Tv station2. Pandora - Installed, but got error taht there was no Wifi Connection3. Last Fm - Installed , but also got error that there was no Wifi Connectionand at all times i had at least 2 bars.Has anyone else had this issue? can anyone install these apps and verify?Or maybe its just my m003Thanks

Hi, I took a screen shot of the error i posted above - Eken M003- Running updated firmware 1.9.1

Get the following error while running this app.LAST FM - Installs fine - then go to play radio stationand get this message." This feature reuquires a connection to the internet.Please connect to the internet and try again.However, i was already connected to the internet, asyou can see from the screen shot, and had 2 bars.Can anyone install this app, and verify if same error occurs.Thanks

Can someone help me please? I downloaded the eken 1.91 update onto the sd card. I inserted into the m003 while it was off. When I turned the unit on I expected to see something asking if I wanted to install but it didn't. It just went to the regular home screen. I went into file browser to see if the file was on the sd card and it was. I clicked on it and it says "complete action using". What am I doing wrong?

Check the link in my sig to make sure your doing it correctly, if you have flashed before copy the script folder over to the SD card again - may have just not worked.
