Up til now, I heard no. So I tried it myself with the links you provided. And the answer is still no. Too bad.

the camera is very low-res, plus no auto focus and macro mode.i doubt it can read any barcode, unless the barcode is very large...

That's the same res as the one in my G1 and that reads barcodes no problem.

It is 0.3MPThat's VGA 640x480. Too bad
