Please discuss what fix/fixes have you done to make it work/better on Onda vi40 tabs.
Supported Model: Onda Vi40 V3

ClockWorkMode For Onda Vi40..

Download CWM.zip file. Unzip it >http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?iu97mvefb6vfvdl
Copy 3 files(install-recovery.sh, reboot-recovery.sh, recovery.img) to the root of /sdcard directory
1. Install Superuser.apk included in the zip file. Open SuperUser app, you need to update it's binary in Preferences. (note: Need Internet connection)
2. Install Terminal Emulator app on your Android device "Android.-.Better.Terminal.Pro.v3.05.apk" included in the zip file.
3. Open "Better Terminal Pro app" to run the scripts.
Terminal Emulator/console: Press "Enter" after each line below

$ su
#sh /sdcard/install-recovery.sh
#sh /sdcard/reboot-recovery.sh

Once you run the second script, system will boot into recovery. Use the three hard keys to move up/down/back. Press 'power' button to select. Then you could proceed in installing CM9 zip files

How to Install CM9 on Onda vi40

Download the CM9.zip files:

Extract the CM9.zip ->
Contents of CM9.zip:
-cm9_nightly_20120615.zip
-gapps-ics-20120429-signed
-kernel_test4onda.zip
-vi40_compatibility_TEST.zip
The CM9 Nightly Builds can be downloaded here - http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/Allwinner_A10_Developers/christiantroy/roms/
According to Christian with this latest build cm9_nightly_20120624.zip
you don't need to install anymore the - "kernel_test4onda.zip"
You just need to install latest - vi40_compatibility_1.1.0.zip
Can be downloaded via Update Me app or from this direct link-

Copy those Zip files to the root of Internal /SDCARD of your Android tablet

5. back to the main menu of CWM and click on "reboot"

How to Install AOKP on Onda vi40

Same Procedure as CM9:
1. Download the latest AOKP Build from here - http://www.androidfilehost.com/main/Allwinner_A10_Developers/christiantroy/aokp/
2. Download the latest GAPPS - http://www.mediafire.com/?5v9btn3xgrd24pc
3. Boot into CWM:
* Select "wipe data/factory reset"
* Select "install zip from sdcard" -> "choose zip from sdcard" (or "choose zip from internal sdcard" if your files are into internal memory) and flash, in this order, rom / gapps / compatibility zip
* Now go back, and select "Reboot system now"
* Enjoy AOKP
