Comin' at ya is an updated build of CWM Recovery for ATM7029 devices.

I suggest everyone update to this version, as it will ensure proper flashing of the newer JB 4.2.2 based ROMs.​

First, gotta always start with:

Okay, if you are coming from a previous CWM, simply flash this zip in recovery. If you are not using CWM Recovery, what's wrong with you Install the old version using the old method below, and then flash the new one in recovery.

This should work for all devices, as far as I know!

This is for the Hero II. It may work with other devices as well, but I have not tested with them, nor have I even looked at any possible compatibility issues with them. If you decide to use this on them, I will not be able to help you if something goes wrong.

Please note, this is still an early build and WILL have some bugs. I am not responsible if it breaks your device. Flash at your own risk!!!​

After flashing, to enter CWM simply start the tablet while holding down the Volume- key, or choose the Reboot to Recovery option, if available on your ROM.

sdcard is linked to an EXTERNAL sdcard
emmc is your INTERNAL sdcard

I suggest making a backup to an EXTERNAL sdcard before anything else. That way you will always have a copy, should a reformat ever be required.

Tried in Crystal 2. Not bnmguy's original but the CWM related resources from its initramfs put into Crystal's recovery.img.
Works pretty well. Adb works which is nice. The adb drivers are now updated so that they work with it.

Some bugs - or properties...

When making a backup CWM wanted to add the sd-ext partition too.

When showing log, two unexpected errors there (fortunately)...
Like it had tried to do something to the sd card:
Can't format unknown volume /externel_sd
Can't partition non-vfat: auto

Tried in 7 Venus, It works!
What you have to do is flash only RECOVERY Partition.

Despite the screen looks strange, it does work!

P.S. I flash 0427 rom before flash the recovery, so if you fail, flash a new rom and try again.

Confirm this, although CWM image corrupted but still works.
If anyone here to adjustment based on a CWM for venus is really great thing.

Most of the differences between Venus and Hero2 are in config files (just 1-2 in module files),
so it might be enough just to extract the recovery.img from rec.img and copy that to recovery partition.

But better still wait a while because this CWM isn't totally ready yet...

or for extracting the recovery.img if you wish... and then...

adb kill-server

uninstallation

You could try the winimage + adb way I mentioned earlier, after you've flashed the original recovery back off course...
Or just do what nocrack did and copy recovery.img from hero version into yours...
