SElinux is security enhanced Linux, since we can't compile a working kernel we're stuck with using the stock one which isn't a SElinux kernel. Even if we had one I'm not sure what advantage it would be and my guess would be that it would cause more problems.

Added security is also added work in software design.

Now to why I have been absent! I resently had several sever heart attacks so I've been in the hospital and last week I had a stint put in. So at this point I need to take it easy and reduce my work load.

So I may respond but I may not.

Really sorry to hear about you hospitalisation! I hope you are feeling better and recuperating well.

Thanks for the explanation about SElinux. I thought it had something to do with security but that explains it. Cheers. Are there any other kernels available? Just curious.

As for SELinux, yeah you do need a different kernel for that. Unfortunately, the only publicly-available kernels out there are for SDK 3.3 and 4.5, to which I don't think that it would cut it in this case. The only other way around if you do want an SELinux-based kernel to be present is to cobble up your own CM flavour.

Plz, someone can do a fix (sorry, I'm a really noob) for the CynagenMod 11 from Christian Troy ?

(need kext "zet622x.ko" into the rom (zeitec 6221 touchscreen))

FrostPC has given a file (see on the bottom) to fix that, but I don't understand how use it

je rencontre le même problème que esroven (j'ai une Clust 7" de rueducommerce, un clone de ico7gt, ritmix rmd770 ou xiron surftab7) => une fois l'installation de la rom de Christian Troy, la CM11, mon touchscreen est inutilisable (en plus, j'ai même pas de câble OTG).

Quelqu'un a-t-il résolu le problème ?

Je suis un vrai noob dans le flashage de rom/bidouille Android, alors quand FrostPC donne le drivers du touchscreen à esroven (voir ci-dessous), perso ça me sert à rien car je sais pas comment m'en servir.

Comme un noob, j'essaie de l'inject comme le gapp dans le recovery, mais ça abort toujours.

Bref, quelqu'un pour m'aider svp?

I was given a MobieTV Prime (which I cannot find ANYTHING about online) set-top box. It has an A31 (sun6i) , 2 USB and HDMI.

I would like to try to flash it with CM 12 if possible.

I have the serial/USB cable wired internally and am Linux saavy. What is the best way to to get started? Is there a newbie link somewhere that I can start with? Also, will I need to siphon off the kernel modules before it gets reflashed? Some instructions for that would be most helpful as well.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I did have an angiography and they found a 90% blockage and a 50% blockage. They put in a stent on the 90% one and left the other for later if needed. So I'm out of danger for the most part and trying to recover! Thank you!

If you want a compatibility pack then you must have a SDK 3.2 rom to start with. You can't just install any comp pack! There are a lot differences and you can damage your battery!
