First I tried to flash cm 10.2 (4.3) with rc1 from cm 10.2 (4.3) with rc0 (it was too unstable). After flashing it got stuck in boot screen ainol Tav NOVO10 quad-core. Yesterday I flashed back to stock rom (atm7029_AINOL_SDK0906_NOVO102_2013-9-24 [v.3.4.0.130924]. Shud I try to flash Discover's stock rom (0927)?) then to CM 10.2 (4.3) with rc2 compzip. Now it works fine but screen auto-rotate doesn't work (stays all the time in portrait view). I also tried with AOKP and it had same problem :/ Yes I'm using Captain (Basic).what do you mean? I guess you're using a captain, are you coming from the 0927 stock rom?
It works on mine. Just follow OP;s instructions starting flashing TWRP from the stock recoveryRecently I Installed 4.2.2 stock rom. i want to know that its custom roms is Really work for ainol novo8 Discover? and can we install this custom rom with cwm recovery mode? Sorry for bad English
Hmmm. Am I doing something wrong because it won't work? I have checked all places that auto-rotate is on (also turned off it and back to on).You can add the lockscreen orientation toggle to the top bar, or use an app to force rotation in some way. Anyway I just got report that on captain rotation works so be sure it's enabled in display settings otherwise try with stock again because it might be faulty somehow
start over flashing from stock with the flash tool.Something clicked in the Preferences and now on firmware CyanogenMod and AOKP picture is upside down, and the tach is right .. flashing does not help ..
So basically the kernel is the battery drain problem? And all ROMs based on 24/9 will got same issue?Battery stats -captain
Here is the link for the 3 files https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28578973/screen%20rotate%20captain.rar . I have noticed that screen turns on slowly (3-4 sec).launch terminal emulator and type these commands
kill terminal emulator and grab those three files from internal memory, zip them and upload them somewhereCode:su
dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.txt
getevent -p > /sdcard/getevent.txt
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt

getevent -p > /sdcard/getevent.txt
it's notIs that error critical?
Doesn't work, replaced the old one lib and nothing on sensor.one thing is really weird, the kernel recognizes it and everything, but android sensor service doesn't even start, you don't see any "sensor" entry in the logcat. I wonder what the *smile did they do... the discover uses the same gsensor and has no problems.
Try to push its sensors HAL to /system/lib/hw (unrarred of course) and reboot, otherwise I'll try to give you the discover gsensor_mma8452.ko driver.
well the only common thing is the kernel and that's not a choice, there's only that so you have to live with that.Crystal II freezes in 5 minutes after boot on any 4.2+ firmware (stock and custom). If I reflash it, it works normaly 1 time to rebooing. I don't know what to do... Please help.
